Youth Workshop: Oil Pastels with Jona Brown

Saturday, November 14 | 10AM–12PM | Ages 7–15

Create a colorful winter world with creamy oil pastels! In this hands-on class, young artists will explore light, shadow, color, and texture while creating their own vibrant winter landscapes. Students might imagine a winding path leading to a snow-covered, decorated pine tree, a sky filled with glowing northern lights, or an entirely unique snowy scene of their own.

About the Instructor:
Jona Brown is a Fergus Falls-based artist known for her colorful, story-inspired paintings of chickens, butterflies, kitchens, and everyday life. With a background in oil painting and interior design, Jona brings creativity, curiosity, and a love of storytelling to her work. In addition to her studio practice, she paints murals for the Otter Tail County Historical Society and enjoys teaching art to young artists.
