Youth Workshop: Soft Pastels with Jona Brown

Explore the vibrant world of soft pastels! In this hands-on class, young artists will use stencils and their own imaginations to experiment with color mixing, layering, and texture. Through playful exploration, they’ll discover how soft pastels can bring their creative ideas to life while creating colorful artwork of their own.

About the Instructor:
Jona Brown is a Fergus Falls-based artist known for her colorful, story-inspired paintings of chickens, butterflies, kitchens, and everyday life. With a background in oil painting and interior design, Jona brings creativity, curiosity, and a love of storytelling to her work. In addition to her studio practice, she paints murals for the Otter Tail County Historical Society and enjoys teaching art to young artists.
