Call for Submissions: The Goose

Literary Magazine by Minnesota Students

The Goose is a new literary magazine created by the 2024–2025 Lit Kids at Perpich Arts High School, dedicated to amplifying the voices of young writers across Minnesota. Open to students in grades 7–12, the magazine welcomes all forms of writing and perspectives, with the goal of connecting youth writers statewide and encouraging them to publish their work.

By sharing diverse literary pieces, The Goose celebrates the creativity, insight, and lived experiences of Minnesota’s youth—and invites any student with something to say to submit.

The Nest

Child-Led Interactive Playscape

📅 Dates: February 5–24, 2026
📍 Location: Fergus Falls Public Library

Have you seen it? A mysterious creature has been spotted in Fergus Falls!

The Nest is a child-led playscape exploring an elusive, migrating Creature as it temporarily inhabits public spaces. When you enter the Nest, you’re invited to play, make, imagine, and help uncover the Creature’s story—using clues scattered around town.

What we know so far:
• The Creature is shy
• It has traveled around the country
• It needs a safe place to rest
• Its temporary Nest is at the Fergus Falls Public Library
• It needs our help

🕰 Staffed Facilitation Hours:
• Tuesdays: 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
• Thursdays: 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
• Fridays: 3:00–5:30 p.m.
• Saturdays: 10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
