Receiving a major fellowship, exhibition opportunity, award, or other professional recognition can be an exciting turning point in an artist's career. But how can artists make the most of these opportunities and sustain their momentum?
Panelists Leila Awadallah, Antonio Duke, and Bethany Lacktorin, joined by moderator Katie Ka Vang, will explore strategies for navigating career-defining moments, including:
Building a strong foundation for professional visibility
Preparing for the financial and emotional impacts of major opportunities
Developing strategies to sustain momentum and create future opportunities
Turning significant achievements into long-term artistic and professional growth
This discussion is part of Springboard for the Arts' Work of Art+ series, presented in partnership with Hennepin County Library. The series complements Work of Art: Business Skills for Artists, a professional development curriculum supporting artists across all disciplines.
