PRESENTER: Marianna Nogueras, Intellectual Property Attorney

Join Springboard for the Arts for Contracts for Artists, a virtual workshop designed to help artists and creatives better understand the agreements that shape their professional work.

Led by attorney Marianna Nogueras through Springboard's Minnesota Lawyers for the Arts (MnLA) program, this workshop will cover how to read and understand common types of contracts, including commissions, sales, work-for-hire agreements, exhibition agreements, licensing, performances, and collaborations.

Marianna specializes in intellectual property law, with experience in copyright, trademarks, contracts, and legal matters affecting artists and small businesses. Her approach focuses on making legal information accessible and practical for creative professionals.

This workshop is part of Springboard for the Arts' Work of Art+ series, presented in partnership with Hennepin County Library. The series complements Work of Art: Business Skills for Artists, a professional development curriculum supporting artists across all disciplines.
