Designed for first-time investors, self-employed individuals, and creative professionals, this introductory workshop explores the fundamentals of investing and offers practical information to help participants better understand their financial options and plan for the future.
Topics include:
Finding trusted financial professionals
Understanding different investment account types and how they relate to financial goals
Exploring the time value of money, risk versus return, and dollar-cost averaging
Understanding the importance of diversification
The workshop will be led by Shannon Doyle, Program Manager for Partnerships and Financial Education at LSS Financial Counseling. With nearly two decades of experience in financial education and counseling, Shannon brings a practical, accessible approach to helping individuals build financial knowledge and confidence.
