Learn how to use your creative skills to address community issues and opportunities in this virtual workshop from Springboard for the Arts, presented in partnership with Hennepin County Library.

Designed for artists already working in community—or those interested in getting started—the workshop will explore methods for clarifying your goals, building successful relationships with community collaborators, and connecting with organizations and businesses to expand your artistic practice and potential income sources.

The workshop draws from Springboard’s A Handbook for Artists Working in Community and is part of Work of Art+, a series of workshops complementing the Work of Art: Business Skills for Artists curriculum.

INSTRUCTOR: Ricardo Beaird, Community Development program lead at Springboard for the Arts, whose work focuses on creating pathways for artists to address community needs and build cross-sector collaborations.
