Cloud Coverage by Tobias Zikmund

The New York Mills Regional Cultural Center presents Cloud Coverage, a temporary public art installation by Fargo-based artist Tobias Zikmund featuring five large, quilt-inspired banners displayed throughout New York Mills.

Designed specifically for outdoor spaces, the banners create bold visual landmarks while responding to the natural environment. Moving with the breeze, the works invite viewers to slow down, linger, and experience familiar places from a new perspective.

Inspired by the visual language of quilts and fiber arts, Cloud Coverage explores ideas of place, connection, care, creativity, and community. Installed throughout town, the five works transform everyday spaces into an open-air gallery and invite visitors to explore New York Mills by walking, biking, or driving between locations.
