Watercolor Batik Workshop

Discover the art of watercolor batik in this full-day workshop led by Minnesota artist Kim Gordon, known for her vibrant landscapes created on Kinwashi paper using watercolor and hot wax resist techniques.
Participants will learn Kim's distinctive process, which combines traditional watercolor painting with the ancient Javanese art of batik. Through hands-on instruction, attendees will explore layering fluid pigments with wax to create luminous textures and expressive landscapes. The workshop is open to artists interested in expanding their watercolor practice while learning a unique mixed-media technique.
