July 23–August 20, 2026 | Application Deadline: August 20 at 5:00 PM (CT)
The Lake Region Arts Council (LRAC) is accepting applications for its FY27 Artist Cohort Program, a 10-month professional development experience designed to help artists build sustainable, thriving creative careers.
Open to artists at any stage of their career living within LRAC's nine-county region, the program offers personalized one-on-one career coaching, participation in Springboard for the Arts' Work of Art professional development workshop series, peer networking through Talking Circles, professional photography, a promotional video, and individualized assistance with artist statements, biographies, and résumés.
The program concludes with a group exhibition at the LRAC Main Gallery, along with additional exhibition and networking opportunities throughout the year. Participants are also eligible to receive a participation-based stipend of up to $1,000.
Artists working in all creative disciplines—including visual arts, music, theater, dance, literary arts, film, craft, and more—are encouraged to apply.
