Artist Support: Emergency Relief Fund (ERF)

The Artists Emergency Relief Fund (ERF) is part of a statewide network stewarded by Springboard for the Arts and supported by the F. R. Bigelow Foundation, Jerome Foundation, McKnight Foundation, and the Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundation. Through this network, Regional Arts Councils—like LRAC—help ensure timely support reaches artists throughout Minnesota.

  • Property damage due to natural disaster

  • Healthcare emergencies

  • Housing instability

  • Equipment loss

  • Legal emergencies

Eligible emergencies must have occurred since June 1, 2025.

Application Timeline:

  • Applications Open: March 12, 2026

  • Applications Close: March 26, 2026

Eligible Counties:

Becker, Clay, Douglas, Grant, Otter Tail, Pope, Stevens, Traverse, and Wilkin counties

Checks will be printed and distributed by April 10 emphasizing a rapid turnaround to help meet urgent needs.

This fund exists to support artists during moments of crisis, and we encourage eligible artists to apply or share this opportunity with others in our creative community.
