Call for Entries: MN Films at the Fair
Submission Deadline: July 27, 2026 | Screenings at the Minnesota State Fair
Square Lake Film & Music is accepting submissions for the inaugural MN Films at the Fair, a new outdoor film showcase featuring Minnesota-made short films and animations during the 2026 Minnesota State Fair.
Selected films will be screened after sunset on a large outdoor screen near the Pet Pavilion and Machinery Hill on August 28–29 and September 4–6, 2026, reaching audiences at Minnesota's largest annual event. Participating filmmakers will also have opportunities for post-screening Q&A sessions and media exposure through on-site outlets including WCCO, KARE 11, and Minnesota Public Radio.
The festival is seeking Minnesota-made short films and animations of 15 seconds to 15 minutes in length from all genres. There are no submission fees.
