Exhibition on View in the Main Gallery from March 6 - April 12, 2026
Join The Rourke Art Gallery + Museum for a reception and artist talk with printmaker and painter Eric A. Johnson, whose exhibition Periphery: Paintings + Reduction Relief Prints is on view March 6–April 12. The work features controlled drip acrylic paintings and reduction relief prints that explore the idea of “periphery”—the edges of landscapes, memory, and perception just beyond our central focus.
Johnson, originally from rural North Dakota, is a printmaker, educator, and Master Printer at North Dakota State University. During the artist talk at 2 PM, he will share insights into his creative process and the techniques behind his layered paintings and prints.
Reception: 1:30–3:30 PM | Artist Talk: 2 PM
