Join the Otter Tail County Historical Society and the National Organization for Women for a special screening of Suffs, the Tony Award-winning musical celebrating the brilliant, passionate, and determined American women who fought forthe right to vote.
Created by Shaina Taub, Suffs brings the women's suffrage movement to life through powerful storytelling, memorable music, and moments of humor. The musical explores the triumphs, challenges, and complexities of the fight for equality and the lasting impact of the women who helped shape American history.
Attendees are encouraged to dress in their best historical or modern suffragist attire! Missy Hermes of the Otter Tail County Historical Society will present awards in both costume categories, with winners selected through an audience applause-ometer. The first 50 attendees will also receive complimentary refreshments before the screening.
The lobby opens at 6:30 PM, with an introduction and costume contest beginning at 7:00 PM.
