4th Annual Music on the Lawn:
Charlie Roth & Morning Bird

Celebrate the final Music on the Lawn of the summer with an evening of live music, storytelling, and community at Central Square's newly renovated courtyard.

The evening begins with a Singer-Songwriter Q&A from 5:00–6:00 PM, where Charlie Roth and Morning Bird will discuss their creative process, songwriting, and the stories behind their music. From 6:30–8:00 PM, enjoy a free outdoor concert featuring performances by Charlie Roth and special guests Morning Bird.

Guests are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket. Axe Kitchen food truck will be on site with food available for purchase. In the event of inclement weather, activities will move indoors.

Honoring Johnny Cash

Back by popular demand! This concert focuses on the early years of Johnny Cash, capturing the sound and spirit that defined his rise. Mitchell Hall portrays a young Johnny Cash through voice, presence, and song, drawing from the period when Cash’s style and storytelling first took shape. 

Backed by The Tennessee Trio, the performance recreates the signature “boom-chick-a-boom” sound that became inseparable from Cash’s music. With careful attention to tone, rhythm, and arrangement, the band presents a focused tribute that reflects the roots of Johnny Cash’s enduring legacy.

Amy Daves — Only Yesterday!

Tribute To Karen Carpenter, Anne Murray, And Ronstadt

Only Yesterday features vocalist and musician Amy Daves of Olympia, Washington. Daves has toured nationally for more than a decade as a fiddle player and vocalist with Ted Vigil’s acclaimed Tribute to John Denver, bringing depth and musicianship shaped by years of performance. 

This concert traces a musical path through the 1970s, honoring the voices of Karen Carpenter, Anne Murray, and Linda Ronstadt. The presentation pairs each song with period-inspired visual backgrounds, creating an immersive experience rooted in memory and era. Audience members are invited to dress in 1970s style for a themed photo opportunity.

Emmy Award–winning comedian David Harris brings more than 30 years of stand-up experience to the stage. His comedy draws from family life, relationships, and the shared anxieties of modern living, shaped by sharp observation and audience interaction. Harris has performed across the U.S. and Canada and is featured in a widely viewed Dry Bar Comedy special. 

The evening also features Linda Aarons, a former Minnesota’s Funniest Person winner known for her dry delivery, cultural insight, and precise punchlines. Together, they present a night of stand-up rooted in craft, timing, and connection.

Holiday Soul — The Joyann Parker Band

Joyann Parker is a vocalist, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist whose work blends soul, R&B, gospel, jazz, and traditional blues. Critics have praised her voice as both powerful and emotionally resonant, calling it a defining force in her music. With roots in church music and a strong foundation in musical study, Parker developed a sound that reflects lived experience and deep musical lineage. 

Her latest album, Roots, debuted at #10 on the Billboard Blues Chart, and her work continues to reach audiences on national and international stages. Joined by her band, Parker brings a full-bodied performance shaped by strong songwriting, expressive vocals, and thoughtful musicianship.
