What's Blooming at the Prairie?

Discover the wildflowers and native plants blooming at the Prairie Wetlands Learning Center during this guided evening program.

Participants will begin indoors exploring some of the Learning Center staff's favorite plant identification resources and learning about several common plant families. The group will then head out on a guided one-mile hike to observe and identify the wildflowers and other flora currently in bloom along the prairie trails.

Participants should wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a water bottle. A camera, journal, and pencil are optional for those who wish to document their discoveries. Expect to spend approximately 1½ hours outdoors on the trails.
