Music on the Lawn

Join Central Square for the kickoff of the 4th Annual Music on the Lawn series celebrating the reopening of the organization’s renovated WPA-era building and courtyard. This free community event features live music, local history, art, food, and opportunities to explore Central Square’s newly restored spaces.
The evening begins with an Open House and Gallery Reception featuring a special historical exhibit presented in collaboration with the Pope County Historical Society, highlighting photographs and stories connected to the former Glenwood High School and the history of Central Square. Central Square board members and supporters will also offer tours and share information about the restoration project and future programming.
Guests are also invited to attend a Singer-Songwriter Q&A with Charlie Roth and Michael Shynes, followed by a free outdoor concert in the newly renovated courtyard.
Event Schedule:
4:00 – 6:30 PM — Open House & Gallery Reception
5:00 – 6:00 PM — Singer-Songwriter Q&A with Charlie Roth & Michael Shynes
6:30 – 8:00 PM — Live Music featuring Charlie Roth with special guest Michael Shynes
Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy an evening of live music, food, and community under the summer sky. Food trucks will be on site. In case of rain, programming will move indoors.
