Adult KClass: Mixed Media Monoprinting with Michael Weatherly

Join local printmaker Michael Weatherly for a two-day exploration of mixed media monoprinting. Fresh from an intensive 18-day printmaking workshop in Florence, Italy, Weatherly brings new techniques and creative approaches to this hands-on class.

Monoprinting is a versatile and accessible printmaking process in which ink is rolled, painted, or drawn onto a plate to create unique, one-of-a-kind prints. Participants will explore monotype, collage, and chine collé techniques using Akua non-toxic, water-based inks while learning how to mix, layer, and manipulate imagery through drawing, collage, and multi-plate printing methods.

Designed for all experience levels, this workshop encourages experimentation and creative exploration while introducing participants to new possibilities in contemporary printmaking.

All materials are provided. Participants are encouraged to bring inkjet printouts or images they may wish to incorporate into their work.
