On View in the Charles Beck Gallery:
Lyssa Lovejoy
Black Cowboys, Buffalo Soldiers & the Wonders of the Wild West
This powerful exhibition honors the often-overlooked contributions of Black individuals who shaped Wild West history. Through bold color, layered textures, and expressive imagery, Lovejoy brings forward stories of courage, resilience, and cultural legacy—featuring dynamic rodeo scenes, ranch life, and striking visual tributes to the Buffalo Soldiers. Hidden written text embedded within the paintings adds narrative depth, inviting viewers to look closer and engage more deeply.
On View in the Studio K Gallery:
Dawn Rossbach
The Blind Mind
This thoughtful collection of oil paintings explores the experience of creating art with Aphantasia—the inability to form mental images. Developed with support from the Minnesota State Arts Board, Rossbach created these works without visual references, raising awareness and understanding of how memory, perception, and creativity intersect. The exhibition offers insight into a rarely discussed condition and invites reflection on how artists experience and interpret the world.
Gallery Hours:
Tues–Sat | 12–5 PM
Thurs | 12–7 PM
Admission is always free
We hope you’ll join us for an evening of art, conversation, and community as we celebrate these compelling exhibitions together.
