Back by popular demand, The Skally Line will open the entertainment at 12:00 noon. The Skally Line performs original music based on historic locations and real life stories from Minnesota. See more information about the group here: https://www.deepnorthmn.com/the-skally-line/ Skally Line's composer, Fred Keller, will be leading a commisssioned project with the Terrace Mill that will feature original music composed based on the book "Terrace: The Story of a Prairie Hamlet" based on the memoirs of Barr Moses, one of the original settlers of Terrace. The book was published in 1992 by the Terrace Mill Foundation through a grant with the Minnesota Historical Society. "Terrace" was edited and revised by Robert O. Greenfield, a resident of Terrace and a supporter of the Terrace Mill for over 30 years. Fred will be conducting research at the Terrace Mill, the Ordway Prairie and the Pope County Museum. He will begin composing this summer in order to perform the Terrace pieces at a concert next June 2026 at the Terrace Mill.

Having previously appeared on the Terrace Mill stage in 2018 and 2019, The High 48s take the stage at 1:30pm. Since forming in northeast Minneapolis in 2006, The High 48s have been making music that combines the soulful sound of classic bluegrass with a modern attitude. The High 48s are also a band of songwriters. Here, too, they take a modern approach, heeding the well-worn advice to writers: write what you know. Their songs ring true to their lives as northern city-folk rather than an imagined “sweet, sunny south” of coal mines and dark hollers.
