Opening Reception:
Restless Horizons by Eddie Hamilton
Thursday, May 14, 2026 | 5:00 – 7:00 PM | Charles Beck Gallery at Kaddatz Galleries, Fergus Falls, MN
Join Kaddatz Galleries for the opening reception of Restless Horizons, a new exhibition by Minnesota painter Eddie Hamilton, on view May 12 through June 20 in the Charles Beck Gallery.
Eddie Hamilton’s paintings are filled with bold color, joyful energy, and a deep sense of wonder. Influenced by Post-Impressionists such as Gauguin and Sérusier, along with contemporary artists like Keith Haring and David Hockney, Hamilton’s work explores both the fragility of nature and the “joyful absurdity” of being part of it. In Restless Horizons, he brings his expressive, gestural style to landscapes and wildlife, inviting viewers into the peace, playfulness, and mystery he finds in the natural world.
Hamilton is a Shoreview, Minnesota-based artist and special education teacher whose work has been featured in a TEDx Talk and on TPT’s MN Original. His artwork is held in permanent collections including Hamline University, the Mayo Clinic, and Anoka Technical College.
Light refreshments will be provided. The exhibition remains on view through June 20 during regular gallery hours.
Kaddatz Galleries is open Tuesday–Saturday from 12:00–5:00 PM and Thursdays from 12:00–7:00 PM. Admission is always free.
This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a Minnesota State Arts Board Operating Support grant, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts & Cultural Heritage Fund.
