2026 Falls Community Arts Exchange

The Falls Community Arts Exchange invites artists to live and work in Fergus Falls, Minnesota while collaborating with local organizations to create meaningful, place-based community projects. Hosted by Springboard for the Arts, this program supports creative exchange and community connection through artist-led engagement.
Selected artists receive a $4,000 stipend, up to $1,000 in travel and caregiving support, and lodging with workspacein downtown Fergus Falls. Additional support includes project mentorship, documentation, and opportunities to connect with local artists and residents.
Artists will partner with one of the following host organizations:
Outstate Brewing (July 27 – August 24, 2026): Seeking a musician to work with teens and young adults through songwriting, performance, or recording.
Victor Lundeen’s Printing (October 19 – November 16, 2026): Seeking a writer, bookmaker, or print-focused artist to activate the historic print shop and bookstore.
Fergus Falls Public Library (January 11 – February 8, 2027): Seeking an artist in any discipline to engage the community through creative programming and cultural exchange.
This program is made possible by the Floyd & Harriet Miller Endowment Fund through West Central Initiative and by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts & Cultural Heritage Fund.
