The Rourke Art Gallery + Museum presents a screening of Alfred Hitchcock’s Blackmail (1929) in the Micro-Theatre.
Often recognized as one of Alfred Hitchcock’s earliest major achievements, Blackmail is a British crime thriller that explores themes of guilt, danger, and survival. The film follows a London woman who becomes the target of blackmail after killing a man who attempts to assault her.
Originally begun as a silent film and later adapted to include sound, Blackmail is widely regarded as an important work in early cinema and a key moment in film history.
