Joe Davis is a nationally touring writer, speaker, and performer based in Minneapolis, MN. He is the front man of emerging soul, funk, and spoken word ensemble, The Poetic Diaspora, and the co-founder and Artistic Director of H-Cubed: Harrison, Healing, and Harmony, a monthly event series centered on healing through the arts. As a student and educator, he has served as a teaching artist at dozens of high schools and universities and is currently the Artist-in-Residence at Luther Seminary, pursuing a masters in Theology of the Arts.

With much of Joe’s time spent studying, pursuing a Masters in Theology of the Arts at Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN, every open mic, concert, or poetry slam gives him new life. He has joined the irresistible revolution, snapping at Button Poetry, Soap Boxing Slams, and the young, riveting voices of True Art Speaks. He has spent my nights awake by the glow of computer screen, ferociously composing his soul’s opus; his days have been full of the sporadic jotting of random metaphors and punchlines between classes and lunch breaks.

As an emerging artist, he has been graciously given the stage many times to share his truth with those who might lend him their ears at local venues such as 7th Street, Icehouse, The Capri, The State Theater, and The Amsterdam, among many others!

His dream is to teach, tour, write, and perform poetry as an established, full-time artist.
