Glamping started as a women’s retreat in Montana. It has since spread to several other states. Outdoorsy, crafty women decorate small camping trailers and camp as a group. Sisters on the Fly is the group Janel travels with. They host craft sales and have supported Casting for Recovery—a fly fishing retreat for women recovering from breast cancer. In addition to the campfires and S’mores.
Janel has created embroidery patterns depicting the creative designs women have used on their campers. We will display these embroidered dish towels during November.
At 6:30 before the 1st Friday Concert Janel will be at the gallery to talk about the experiences of Glamping and the work they do. Come for the art, stay for the music.
